Description
The DRT5 MIPS Factory Pilot Helmet has all the usual attention to detail and style you've come to expect from Oakley, giving you the confidence to take your mountain biking to the next level. From a protection perspective, it's got the all-important MIPS® Brain Protection system, designed to impart the finest impact and rotational force protection in the event you push your limits just a bit too far. Complementing the MIPS® technology is a BOA® FS1-1 360-degree fit system, a simple twist of a dial gives you unrivalled control of the fit of the helmet and ensures there's no movement when you're whipping table-tops or crushing trail features at speed. When you're building up some heat on the ride to the top you'll also be more than happy with the silicone sweat-wicking brow pad and Oakley's X-Static®, using silver to combat bacteria build-up, leaving you free from eye-stinging sweat and a fresh feel, even after a full day on the hill. With a unique eyewear stowing system, you can also confidently remove your sunnies without worrying where to stash them on your person. MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) Working in tandem with the helmet’s EPS protective foam lining to offer added safety with each and every ride, the DRT5 has been designed using innovative MIPS technology, inspiring confidence and offering the ultimate form of protection should you suffer an unexpected fall from the saddle. What is MIPS? • MIPS is a Brain Protection System • Rotational motion can cause brain injuries • The low friction layer allows a sliding movement of 10–15 mm, in all directions, reducing rotational motion to the brain during impact • MIPS adds protection Oakley's DRT5 Helmet gives you the confidence to throw down your mountain biking skills and be safe in the knowledge you'll be protected should confidence exceed grip or skill levels (we've all been there).
