Description
A dark base can help to make furniture sing; the Hegaldia Rug does just that with a framing pattern that offers the perfect spot for a central coffee table. It is hand-knotted with a pile surface that makes it incredibly durable and delightfully soft underfoot. The mud cloth textile is from Africa, traditionally made by the women of Mali with an age-old process that uses local flora and fauna to hand-dye the yarn. The pattern is created with a form of tie-dye that sees the rug tied up with strips of raffia before the indigo colour is applied, leaving exposed sections that result in an abstract design.
