Colour wheel opposites, the blue and orange hues in this rug create a contrast that draws the eye. The Regulus is a Soumak-style rug, which is why we named it after one of the stars that guarded Persia in ancient mythology, where this style originates. Soumak rugs are typically flat-woven and decorated with elaborate patterns. This one has been knotted by hand.
