It's something of a generalist: with a spacious cockpit, longer wheelbase and slacker head angle boasting stability and 29" DT Swiss wheels that crunch comfortably over roots and rocks with fast-rolling reliability. The Orbea Monocoque Race (OMR) frame melds high modulus and high strength fibres to form a frame that's light, durable and nimble - handling varied terrain with ease for competent climbing and consistent control on hair-raising descents. The FOX 34 Float Performance fork ensures trail-smoothing suspension with 140mm travel that eats up bumps and absorbs shocks. The single-sided frame strut reinforces an area that takes a battering when it comes to suspension forces, and this design also means a mid-ride drink can be reached for, on the left side. Shimano SLX and XT 12-speed components top off this build, with precise shifting seeing you through the longest days and a sweeping selection of gears and 32T single chainring ensuring you can spin up challenging gradients. Shimano MT501 hydraulic disc brakes provide certain stopping power no matter the conditions, and DT Swiss wheels can be set up tubeless to banish pinch flats with rapid Maxxis tyres.
