Description
The Gold STC Rival eTap Airbeat features Orro's top-quality Spread Tow Carbon (STC) frameset that offers ultra-durable, stiff and lightweight performance. It is also equipped with a SRAM Rival eTap AXS 2x12-Speed wireless electronic groupset with hydraulic disc brakes and it rolls upon Fulcrum Airbeat Carbon 40mm-deep wheels wrapped in Vredestein Fortezza Tubeless tyres. Gold STC represents the Orro gold standard in ride quality with a competitive frameset weight and clean aesthetic. The geometry of our longest running model has been revised across a myriad of generations to create a bike which seamlessly balances speed with efficiency for endurance riding. The rider is perfectly positioned to allow for full focus on the ride ahead while the Sigmatex engineered spread tow carbon frame offers ride dampening qualities for unrivalled comfort. Our unique relationship with Sigmatex, who are a UK based carbon composite specialist, allows us to have an intrinsically detailed and supportive design ethic so we can produce the best results. The STC material was chosen for its combination of low weight and high stiffness allowing us to optimise certain areas of the frame for the ride characteristics that we wish to promote. This has given Orro a future classic in the Gold STC - a bike of climbing category weight with all the comfort and efficiency required to take on any endurance challenge you can point it at. Tailor Made Specification Tailor made is a statement of our intent to extract maximum performance from every watt of energy generated by the rider. These bespoke bike builds feature key component upgrades to offer a specification that is ready to perform at the highest level. Gold STC tailor made features a Fulcrum Airbeat wheelset with unidirectional carbon fibre rim construction. The 40mm deep rim profile offers a low aerodynamic drag coefficient to capitalise in endurance riding scenarios, as marginal gains in efficiency multiply over considerable distance. Vredestein Fortezza tyres compliment the wheelset to create an entirely tubeless ready wheel/tyre interface. The Prologo Dimension saddle provides great fit and support. Spread Tow Carbon Frameset Orro use Spread Tow carbon from leading global carbon specialist, Sigmatex on our Gold bikes. This exquisite carbon fabric uses unidirectional spread tow tapes, allowing for a much larger number of fibres in a smaller space. As a result of this, Orro have been able to create a frame and fork that is exceptionally low in weight, while boasting brilliant stiffness and comfort. Gran Fondo Geometry Perfectly developed and obsessively refined to create the ultimate Gran Fondo machine. The Gold possesses geometry and character that rewards the audacious. Supremely comfortable while cruising on the tops – aggressive and efficient when powering in the drops. Up to 28c Tyre Clearance The Gold Disc will take up to a 28c tyre for a faster, more comfortable ride. Wider tyres are scientifically proven to lower rolling resistance as well as increasing comfort on rougher roads that are common in the UK. This paired with the Grand Fondo geometry of the Gold makes for an excellent ride even on the longest days in the saddle. Built, Tuned and Ready to Ride Rest assured that each bike is fully built and tuned by Wiggle's team of qualified bike mechanics to ensure your bike arrives in perfect condition. We supply all bikes with a set of plastic pedals, a pedal wrench and a multi-tool kit. Find out which size fits you by clicking the size chart tab. Please Note: Due to ongoing issues in the global bike supply chain, manufacturers may substitute certain component items due to availability. In this situation, they will be replaced with the same quality or better performing parts.
