Description
Oxalis Censation™ 'Double Pink Wonder' - Commonly known as a Shamrock or Sorrel, this perennial produces delicate, double white blooms with elegant red picotee edging, surrounded by low-growing, spreading, clover-like foliage. Oxalis Censation™ 'Double Pink Wonder' is only half-hardy, so bulbs will need to be grown in mild, sheltered sites when planted outdoors, in rockeries or alpine troughs, but should always be protected from frost. They are best grown in containers and moved into a sheltered position in autumn. Ideal For: Greenhouse, Conservatory, Ground Cover, Alpine & Rockery Hardiness: Half-hardy Position In: Full sun Height: Up to 15cm Spread: Up to 15cm Outdoors, grow oxalis plants in containers or in sheltered rockeries and borders. In frost prone areas it is best grown as a houseplant on a bright windowsill or in a conservatory or greenhouse. Plant oxalis corms at a depth of 3cm (1") in well drained, rich fertile soil, or for indoor cultivation, in a loam based compost such as John Innes No.2. Position in full sun or light shade. After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally before removing it. Oxalis bulbs require a short period of dormancy in summer during which time the compost should be allowed to dry out a little so that it is kept just moist. Resume feeding and watering when oxalis plants start into growth again. Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions may vary results. Image may be included for illustration of supply, but may vary due to seasonality changes and may not be the exact variety.
