The Patagonia Men’s Super Free Alpine Jacket is a technical hardshell designed for modern alpinism. The helmet compatible hood includes an insulated Storm Seal gasket to trap warmth and block chills. On strenuous climbing sections, undo the pit zips to vent excess heat. Comfortable when worn under a harness, the Clean Clip hip cutout enhances your high-stepping mobility so you can move freely. Made with a 3-layer fabric comprising a 40-denier recycled outer, GORE-TEX expanded polyethylene (ePE) waterproof membrane, and GORE C-Knit backer technology, the jacket balances lightness, durability, and weather protection. An eco-conscious choice, the Super Alpine is Fair Trade Certified sewn. The GORE-TEX ePE membrane is bluesign approved, does not contain perfluorinated chemicals (PFC-free), and has a reduced carbon footprint. The Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish is also PFC-free.
