The oval-shaped tubers of this variety can grow much larger than other salad varieties and have a firm yellow waxy flesh. They are perfect for potato salads or boiled and served with butter. Pentland Javelin is an early variety that produces lots of small, tasty potatoes. This variety is ideal for boiling, as well as for roasting and baking. Desiree has a creamy-yellow flesh with red skin and is great for making chips, roasting, jacket potatoes, or boiling.
