About the Artist
Paula Vize has a bold, boisterous style which captures the true personality of her subjects with verve and vigour. She is known for her refreshing approach of depicting traditional, rural themes with a sharply contemporary eye.
Spreading her time between commissioned and non-commissioned pieces, Paula has sold her work as far afield as Cape Town and Dubai, as well as finding an appreciative audience closer to home with exhibits across the UK. Her painting Hampshire Harriers was featured in the March 2008 Fine Art edition of Country Life.
Of her commissions, she states, "The bond between horse and owner, or dog and owner, and between brothers and sisters, is something that varies wildly but is always uplifting. I feel privileged to be able to capture those special moments that occur when working in this way.
