Praxis Works Alba M24 2x11 Speed Chainset with Zayante Crank
Description
Deep in the hills of Santa Cruz, cyclists are met by a nasty, four-mile, 1800 ft. climb named Alba Road. This respected ascent was the inspiration for the Alba road chainset. What's most impressive about this model is it also features top-level carbon crankarms from the Zayante series, so you can get the best of both worlds. This combination of the Alba M24 alloy spindle, new LevaTime II X-Spider and chainrings plus Zayante carbon crankarms provides the ultimate marriage of lightness, stiffness and versatility. Carbon Zayante Crankarms Made exclusively in the brand's own carbon lab, the Zayante is a homegrown product from start to finish. From initial napkin sketches to rapid prototyping, revision after revision, exhaustive testing and certification for production. Developed and made in-house with its own hybrid "RTM+Filimant Winding" manufacturing methods all done by Praxis Works' dedicated team. With its elegant and shapely carbon arms the Zayante is in a class of its own. This past year Praxis Works went further and updated it with its new LevaTime II X-Spider and X-rings. Now weighing in at a feathery 620 grams the Zayante Carbon has improved on its already solid reputation as the go-to crank carbon crank for riders globally. LevaTime X-Spider and Chainring This all-new LevaTime (LT2) X-Spider is even stiffer than the original generation X-Spider. With a new forging design to support the new LT2 5mm plate big rings, this 3-bolt direct mount keeps things flex-free when it’s time for that critical shift. Full modularity was the goal with the X-Spider and rings. With this one spider riders can change X-Ring sets without having to change cranks. The LT2 X-Rings are forged from 7075-T6 aluminium and hard anodized to take a beating. M24 BSA English Threaded Bottom Bracket This chainset comes complete with a Praxis Works BSA Threaded M24/GxP bottom bracket for installing an M24/GxP spindle crank into a BSA threaded frame: 68mm Road. Praxis M24 bottom brackets have a 24mm Drive and a 22mm NonDrive Bearing. These are specifically made for use with Praxis M24 spindle cranks or SRAM GxP spindle cranks. A drive-side wave washer is used for preload of the bearings. This specific M24 bottom bracket is made to be installed in a BSA frame, also known as an English Threaded frame. Born and based in the cycling mecca of Santa Cruz, California, Praxis creates and manufactures some of the best bicycle parts on the globe. Manufacturer's Part Number: 89222984 Black 50/34T 170mm
