Extremely hardy Prunus laurocerasus 'Novita' is a relatively new variety of laurel, which has proven to be far more resilient in colder weather than its relatives. This low-maintenance Cherry Laurel is evergreen and has large, dark green leaves, making it useful as a hedging or screening or shaped into a specimen plant. Each spring, white flowers form, attracting insects with their nectar, followed by large, dark berries in autumn, which are loved by wild birds.
