Strong, hardy and reliable, Thompson & Morgan Flowering Currant is a deciduous shrub that is well worth planting for its pleasant spring colour. With characteristic fragrant foliage, ‘King Edward VII’ displays pendulous dark red clusters of flowers early in the year which can develop into black berries later on. Extremely low maintenance and happy to grow in full sun, Thompson & Morgan Flowering Currant ‘King Edward VII’ is a shrub you will be able to enjoy for many years. Choose a position in full sun when growing Thompson & Morgan Ribes ‘King Edward VII’ and plant in any well drained soil, incorporating plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost prior to planting. Position the plants at the same depth as they were planted in their pots, backfill the planting hole and water well to settle. Keep Thompson & Morgan Flowering Currants watered regularly throughout the growing season until young plants are established.
