Description
This beautiful object at first I thought was a glass top table. I now think it was originally made as a pot or display stand. It can of course be used as a table too. It is polychrome hand painted & carved from tropical hardwood. in Rajasthan India. Probably between 1900-1920 The size belies it's weight which is 40 kg. It measures Glass top - 64 cm. diameter Elephants trunks - 85 cm. diameter Base - 50 cm. diameter Height - 63 cm in remarkable original condition. There are some small paint losses on the extremities due to age & use but still highly presentable.
