Store in a warm place at an approx. temperature of 16°C When seedlings are strong enough to handle they can be planted out 30cm apart in your desired location. Harden off firstSowing outdoors - May-JulyRow width: 45cmSow seeds 5cm deep direct in growing bed keeping 15cm between each seed. For best results sow in double rows with a space of 30cm between each row, allow 45cm between each set of double rows. Keep the soil moist. The Beans will need support as they grow - netting or canes are ideal. Pick the pods regularly to extend the harvest period. Runner Beans are deep rooted and therefore, require a well cultivated, water retaining soil. Plant in a sheltered area and protect with cloches from late frosts.
