Inspired by designer Kit Kemps whimsical illustrative story of The Sailors Farewell, this large sized cream jug crafted in fine bone china features several motifs from his imaginary voyage. The rust red sails of the sailors ship head towards an enticing house under a palm tree on a faraway desert island passing a curious octopus beneath the waves. With its pale blue finish echoing the original fabric design created by Kit Kemp, the jug is embellished with a deeper blue and hand-applied 22 carat gold trim and forms part of a second collaboration between the designer and Wedgwood continuing her folkloric story.
