Description
Sometimes known as the Flamingo Tree, this Dwarf Japanese Willow is already a popular small tree around the UK. Suitable for planting in small gardens, this ultimate showy willow really is stunning to look at. With leaves that marble in pink, green and white, that change to glowing orange tones as they fall in the autumn. Grow Salix in a sunny or partially shaded position, in any well drained soil. To achieve the most colourful foliage, trim back all side branches by a third during July. You can trim Salix Hakuro-Nishiki plants through the year to keep them tidy, with fresh variegated growth. Simply prune back branch tips by about 15cm (6").
