Description
Sedum Purple Emperor is a hardy perennial that great for planting in hot, sunny borders and exotic planting schemes. This succulent has burgundy-black foliage that can add a touch of drama in any garden. In late summer this sedum produces wide panicles of ruby-red flowers that continue well into autumn. This variety is loved by butterflies and provides a useful source of late season nectar for pollinating insects. Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. Grow sedum in a sunny position in fertile, well drained, non acidic soil that has been enriched with well rotted manure or garden compost.
