Seiko Astron GPS Solar 5X Dual Time Chronograph 'Yozakura'
Description
Seiko Astron GPS Solar 5X Dual Time Chronograph 'Yozakura' - Cherry Blossom by night Limited Edition This solar-powered timepiece takes inspiration from Japan's cherry blossom trees at night. During cherry blossom season in Japan, in late March or early April, at sunset many parks and gardens light up their cherry trees. The illuminated flowers, which have an ethereal glow, are called ‘yozakura’ - cherry blossoms at night. With a modern, compact and angular case design, crafted entirely from lightweight titanium, the silhouette of this timepiece flows seamlessly from the case, through its lugs, to the bracelet. It has sleek lines and a slim profile with a super-hard black coating for increased scratch resistance. Under a sapphire crystal glass the dial is sprinkled with a fine glitter against a purple gradation – its circular pattern depicts the cherry blossoms glowing in the night sky. The titanium bracelet of this watch features a micro-adjustable clasp for added personal comfort. The watch is powered by the in-house built 5X83 solar GPS calibre, which inherits the same functions of the 5X53 - with GPS functionality, being updated remotely by GPS satellite when the wearer moves between time zones. Its added capability measures up to 1/20th of a second elapsed time through the chronograph feature. It is accurate to ± 15 seconds per month whilst having a power reserve of 6 months at full charge, being charged by any light source - either natural sunlight or artificial light - for convenience. Seiko Astron: the world’s first GPS solar watch – powered by light, automatically adjusted to your exact time through the latest satellite technology.
