Tagua is known as ‘vegetable ivory’. It is the seed of a palm that grows in the tropical rainforests of the Pacific region and is only produced in 3 countries: Panama, Colombia and Ecuador. Tagua is a sustainable material as it comes from a seed. The tagua seed is carved and polished in artisanal workshops on the coast and in the Andean highlands of Ecuador. Tagua is a natural seed. Avoid products containing alcohol. If it gets dirty, it can be washed with water and neutral soap.
