This hydraulic disc brake is specifically designed for the rigours of MTB riding and features a durable aluminium build, so it's ready for wherever your off-road adventure takes you. Shimano has also equipped this model with a two-finger ergonomic brake lever design, which allows for smooth and reliable braking operation as you navigate from trail to trail. Another highlight is its tooled reach adjust, which means that riders can tweak the gap between the lever and their handlebar to fit their hand size. This ensures a more rider-tuned feel when braking even for riders with smaller hands. Coming complete with a BR-M615 caliper and many of the brand's finest technologies such as Servo Wave, One Way Bleeding and Ice Technology pad compatibility, this is a great choice of upgrade for confident braking performance as you conquer the trails. Other features are the excellent brake-force modulation and an one-way-bleeding-system which allows easy service. The opposed 2-piston design for high braking power with minimalistic, high rigidity construction. The brake can be used with G01S resin, G03S metal and F01A resin pads. Shimano recommends the use of SM-RT64 "Servo Wave" brake discs but the brake is also compatible with all other Shimano Centerlock brake discs like the SM-RT68. The "Servo Wave" system helps to move the brake pads faster to the brake disc which results in faster brake engagement. Open clamp band with hinge construction for easy installation. The brake levers are I-spec certified, this allows mounting of I-spec shifting levers directly to the brake lever clip.
