Silver Cross Balance i-Size Car Seat
Description
Silver Cross Balance i-Size Car Seat
Silver Cross Balance i-Size is a multi-stage car seat that grows with your child from 15 months to 12 years or when they meet the height requirement to travel safely without a seat. The 5-point safety harness can be used up to a higher-than-standard maximum weight of 21kg, then stows away neatly in the seat for continued use as a high-back booster up to 150cm.
For optimum safety and comfort for your little one, even on longer journeys, the Balance i-Size has a removable insert with side wings, along with super-comfy memory foam seat padding. The naturally antibacterial bamboo fabric is ultra-soft to the touch and hypoallergenic, with thermo-regulating properties to absorb moisture, keeping your passenger warm yet dry. Other new fabrics are made from recycled materials, so you can rest assured your seat is doing its bit for the environment, and have a clean-easy surface so all leaks and spills are simple to wash away – even on the paler colours in the collection, that might make you a bit nervous! The fabric also extends further over the belt adjustment so little fingers can’t fiddle with it themselves.
Offering excellent longevity, the Balance i-Size has four recline positions that can be used in all configurations, plus nine adjustable headrest positions. Silver Cross car seats are rigorously tested to provide the best in protection, and Balance i-Size meets the latest R129 standard. Utilising state-of-the-art crash test dummy technology together with the latest understanding of road traffic accidents to best replicate real life scenarios, the R129 standard ensures the best fit for all stages.
The seat is simple to install, with an easy-lock ISOFIX system and top tether. Download the Silver Cross car safety app for a simple step-by-step fitting guide and vehicle compatibility list.
The current safety guidelines advise that newborn babies are not left in their car seat for longer than 30 minutes. For babies 2-6 months, no longer than 2 hours. It is also safer to keep your child rear-facing for as long as possible – a minimum of 15 months but ideally 4 years. A child should never be in their harnessed car seat with a thick winter coat or snowsuit on.
