These traditional timeless classics include benches, dining sets and sunloungers. For pieces of furniture, which has been produced with an antique brushed finish, small scratches will blend into the existing finish, and can in some cases be desirable in adding character to the item of furniture. Should any scratches or marks occur, do not sand down the piece of furniture. It is a four-step finish that is applied by professionals to obtain the appearance. If you sand the furniture, you will sand off the top layers, exposing the lighter color layers underneath, damaging the furniture permanently. If you would like to restore the finish of an entire piece, please contact Alexander Rose. If you intend to store your furniture over the winter, we recommend that you do so in a water- tight garden shed or garage. However, we advise that you do not move the furniture from the garden straight into a heated indoor room for storage, as the sharp differences in temperature and humidity may cause the wood to split.
