The Specialized Defroster Mountain Bike Shoes are designed to keep your feet warm and dry right through the winter. The Defroster has a neoperene colour around the ankle to stop water penetration and a Thinsulate insulation lined semi-sealed bootie construction to keep the inside of the shoe toasty. To keep your toes even cosier Specialized have designed the Defroster with a roomy fit to accommodate thick winter socks so you don’t need to size up to get extra room. Although designed for mountain biking the Defroster shoes can equally be used for commuting or winter touring and the outside of the shoe is fully reflective to increase your visibility to other road users. The Defroster shoes are compatible with standard 2 bolt SPD cleats so they will work with a wide variety of clip-in pedals. Although the focus of these shoes is keeping you warm they are still a performance piece of kit. Like all Specialized shoes the Defroster uses Body geometry sole construction and footbeds that are ergonomically designed not just to be comfortable but also to actively boost pedalling power and efficiency.
