Coffee Friend Specialty coffee beans Ethiopia Shakisso
Description
Coffee made from these ancient Ethiopian Arabica coffee beans is the most floral of our assortment - the fragrance is filled with jasmine notes, which is supplemented with sweet hints of blueberries and blackberries. The taste has berry sweetness with a long-lasting pleasant aftertaste. At Haile Gebre “Shakisso” plantation coffee is grown at the height of 1800 m. Established in 2001 and located in the south of Oromia in the Guji region of Ethiopia, coffee is grown organically. The farm is certified by Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance certifications for sustainable agriculture. This coffee can also be rightfully named golden, as gold mines are in the middle of the farm - the fields of coffee plants are simply filled with pits dug by gold seekers. And while there are additional dangers and challenges for coffee pickers in harvesting this coffee, the perfect taste of coffee redeems all the hassle.Due to the exceptional quality and taste, this coffee is marked as Specialty. According to the SCA it scores 87,5 out of 100.COUNTRY: EthiopiaREGION: GujiFARM: ShakissoALTITUDE: 1800 m VARIETY: HeriloomPROCESS: WashedROAST PROFILE: MediumTASTE PALATE: Blueberry, Blackberry, Jasmine
