Description
Specifically designed for the demands of gravel bike riding, this versatile cassette is equipped with a 440% range as well as some of the finest technologies available from SRAM. Whether you're looking to explore countryside backroads or take on an all-day epic ride across mixed terrain conditions, this model's wide range makes gravel mountain climbs less daunting while its tight jumps on its high end make it easy to power up to speed on the asphalt. Developed for use with XPLR 1x rear derailleurs, each cog has shift features that are optimised for electronic shifting. This makes it a great choice of upgrade for getting fast, smooth and accurate shifts, wherever your next gravel bike adventure takes you. X-Range Optimised 12 Speed Cassette Due to today's drop bar bikes being faster and more capable than ever before, riders want a shifting set-up with wide-range gearing to match their wide range of cycling pursuits. But, as the range is only half of the equation, they also want a drivetrain that offers the right gear for any situation. By starting X-Range cassettes with a 10T cog, SRAM is able to keep the cogs and chainrings smaller overall, eliminating the potential weight gain of a wide-range 11-tooth start drivetrain. It's the best way to expand the range and keep small jumps between cogs. X-Range achieves wider range and tighter jumps by going to a 12-speed cassette, but also by moving some of the gear range from the front of the drivetrain to the back. That means you can stay on the same ring longer, requiring fewer front shifts, which are inherently less efficient than rear shifts. And when a front shift is executed, the smaller jump is smoother and allows you to get to the right cadence with fewer compensation shifts in the rear. Fewer, faster front shifts make it easier for you to find the right gear, and that’s a distinct performance advantage relative to traditional drivetrains. 440% Range for Gravel Riding Make that daily ride from your front door a little spicier with some dirt. The 440% range of the XPLR XG-1251 cassette provides smooth gear progression when you’re sweating up gravel climbs, and tight jumps on the high end for when it’s time to drill it on asphalt. Shift features on each cog are optimised for electronic shifting, so you’ll get fast, smooth and precise shifts every time. - X-Range gearing gives you more range and a smoother gear progression, so you’re always in the right gear - 440% range gives the coverage 1x gravel riders want - For use with XPLR 1x rear derailleurs - Compatible with Flattop chains - Compatible with XDR driver body - All Zipp wheels starting from 2015 are XDR ready - Mini Cluster technology for light weight and durability Manufacturer's Part Number: 00.2418.119.000
