Description
Year on year Stan's No Tubes improve their products and with the Arch Mk3 it's no different. In comparison to the old Arch EX Stan's has increased the strength, increased control and optimized the tire stability with the WideRight 26mm internal width. This all adds up to Stan's creating one of the most durable rims on the market, whilst keeping the low weight associated with previous Arch rims. WideRight technology originally started on Stans carbon rims but has now made the jump to their aluminium rims. WideRight was specifically designed to perfect the bond between tire and terrain to increase bike performance and handling. WideRight profiles allow the tire to achieve its optimal shape giving the rider better handling, faster roll and a more responsive bike. Too narrow of an internal rim mixed with a high sidewall design gives you a "light bulb" tire profile while an ultra wide rim on a narrower tire will give you a flat to "bell shaped" tire profile. Neither of these scenarios give optimal tire profiles nor allows the tire to perform as intended. WideRight optimizes the tire volume without distorting the tread pattern or side knob keeping the tire in its optimal position throughout your ride. From this WideRight continues to benefit the rider, as optimal tire position helps to lessen rim impact and protect the tire sidewall keeping you out on the trails longer.
