What's more, it's impossible to tell at first glance what intelligent technology is concealed behind the plain facade. The L 840 SC LED outdoor wall light has energy-efficient LEDs that shine a warm white light up and down. The technology is framed by a UV-resistant plastic, which here is nobly finished in anthracite and ideally complements the diffusers in plain white. The invisible iHF sensor cannot be seen from the outside. The motion detector covers a range of 5m and detects only human movement patterns. All other movements, such as small animals or rustling leaves in the wind, are cleverly ignored. For this purpose, the iHF sensor emits electromagnetic waves and receives their echo. When a person moves within the detection range, this echo change is perceived and the command to switch on the light is given. All functions of the LED outdoor wall light L 840 SC can be controlled via a smartphone or tablet. This is done via a Bluetooth connection and the use of the appropriate, free Steinel Smart Remote app, which is available for Android or iOS.
