Very unusual vintage Welsh planked trestle table top with a fold-away base, The top is made from two wide hinged pine planks with a lovely original rustic patina - lots of dints & marks creating the perfect vintage look. I have sanded & treated this with three coats of Danish Oil to preserve the wood & create a water-resistant surface, The top rests on the wooden base which is held together by old leather straps. I have painted the base using chalk paint in green & bllue with a waxed & shabby finish. Makes a versatile statement piece. As mentioned the top simply rests on the base so not stable enough for a dining table but ideal for display or as a console table The table is easy to store away. When assembled the table measures 180 cm long, 54 cm wide & stands 76 cm high. I am based in Cheshire & you are welcome to collect in person or arrange your own courier.
