The Sunstar CAL (crochet along), designed by Jo Smith will be released in 7 parts over 3 months, starting on the 3rd September. All the patterns will be available to download free from the Stylecraft website at www.stylecraft-yarns.co.uk. The Sunstar CAL is available in three beautiful and distinctive colourways – My Sun and Stars (link), My Country Garden (link) and My Vintage. The colours for My Vintage were inspired by vintage rugs and tiles and include a mix of subtle yellows and greens combined with rich red tones in the Stylecraft Batik DK, Stylecraft Batik Elements and Life DK ranges. “In the second colourway ‘My Vintage’ the colours are no longer literal and remind me of a vintage tile or carpet with washed colours reminiscent of faded rugs of Eastern origin. Not being my usual colour palette, it was both intriguing and exciting to challenge myself and extend my usual colour range and I love it! The more I used these colours the more I loved their richness and depth and subtlety.” – Jo Smith.
