Swan & Edgar presents its Moonface Automatic mens watch inspired by Greek horology and designed for collectors with an admiration for timepieces that align complications with astronomy. This stainless steel skeleton caseback timepiece has a domed face housing a 185-part Automatic 20 Jewel Movement. The watchs jet black dial and open observatory windows expose the Sun & Moon function together with its crafted mechanical movement. Added complications to the timepiece include the daylight hour counter and the date calendar which are framed within a tachymeter inner ring. This collectable comes furnished with a with a high-grade hand waxed black ash leather strap. The Automatic Moonface reflects on the earliest example of a mechanical Day-Night Indicator, the Ancient Greek Antikythera built in 205 BC which displayed the moon and planet position in order to measure the time, calendar date and Olympic Games dates.
