The TaylorMade Spider GT MAX features a sliding weight track that ushers in a new ERA of adjustability and performance to the putting world. The 98g track on the sole allows heavy tungsten weights to slide independently, creating various settings. Position one produces the highest MOI and stability with the least amount of toe hang. Positions two and three progressively increase toe hang and face rotation. Regardless of what position you select, the GT MAX’s lightweight aluminum top enables the vast majority of the weight to be shifted to the outside of the putter head, resulting in exceptional MOI and forgiveness. TaylorMade equips the GT MAX with their new, firmer Pure Roll 2 Insert. Fashioned at a 45° angle, the insert's aluminum beams improve topspin across the face, leading to putts with a forward roll that resist falling offline. The small slant variant of the GT MAX can generate more toe hang, thus suiting players with an arc in their putting stroke. The reconstructed shape maintains features of the iconic Spider design with True Path™, while the new sliding weight track helps optimize performance. Made from lightweight 6061 Aluminum, the 146g top allows more weight to transfer to the outside of the frame. The 98g weight track on the sole is manufactured from stainless steel that allows the heavy tungsten weights to slide independently along the track to create different performance settings. Position 1 creates the deepest CG and high stability with less face rotation. Position 2 features minimal face rotation and increased toe hang. Position 3 has the most face rotation and increased toe hang. Two heavy 40g tungsten weights are positioned on the heel and toe side of the sole and slide independently for optimal performance settings. The firmer co-molded insert, manufactured of black TPU urethane with silver aluminum beams at a 45° angle designed to improve topspin across the face. The white space in the center of the putter helps frame the ball and creates a path to the hole.
