Bears bigger blooms than most other varieties, Alyssum 'Clear Crystal Mixed' offers a pretty mix of pure white, lavender and purple shades. The sweetly fragrant blooms are visited by a host of pollinating insects, providing a useful source of early nectar and attracting beneficial insects to the garden. These reliable hardy annuals are the ideal choice for cushiony carpets of colour from spring and through summer -excellent for the front of borders, tucked into corners or creeping over rockeries and banks. They are also good floral fillers for pots and baskets, where they will gently spill over the edges of their containers. 'Clear Crystal Mixed' is an especially vigorous variety which copes well in poor soils and coastal conditions. Height: 30cm (12”). Spread 40cm (16”). Pot up Alyssum plugs and grow them on in frost free conditions. When plants are well grown, gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions before transplanting outdoors in their final positions.
