Description
This Aquilegia is a compact variety so it is perfect for small spaces, containers and borders. Enjoy the Bi-coloured blooms of purple and lilac-blue which is held on short stems above foliage. Grow aquilegias in sun or part shade in any fertile, moist, well drained soil. Columbines hybridise readily so be aware that any self-sown seedlings may not come true to type. If seedlings are not wanted, deadhead faded aquilegia flowers to prevent them self seeding. Aquilegias dislike disturbance but overcrowded clumps may be lifted and divided in spring when necessary.
