Description
On tall wiry stems you will see super-size blooms in shades of lilac, creamy white, red and yellow. Perfect for cottage garden borders and woodland planting schemes, these are also perfect to be used as cut flowers. Grow aquilegias in a sun or part shade in fertile, most, well-drained soil. Columbines hybridize readily, be aware that any self-sown seedlings may not come true to type. If seedlings are not wanted, deadhead faded aquilegia flowers to prevent them self-seeding. Aquilegias dislike disturbance but overcrowded clumps may be lifted and divided in spring when necessary. Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary results. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes (e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months). Features: Starlight Mixed' is one of the best dwarf Asters! The beautiful blooms smother the compact, basal branched plants in attractive shades of blue, purple, scarlet and rose Early to flower, 'Starlight Mixed' adds a colourful display to borders or patio containers from July to September Specifications: Hardy Perennial Position: Full sun, Sun, or semi shade Height: Up to 60cm (24in) Spread: Up to 40cm (16in) when fully established Supplied as 1x Aquilegia caerulea 'Mrs Scott-Elliott' (Columbine, Granny's Bonnet) 15 tray Model Number: 74426
