Description
Ideal for cottage gardens and wildlife areas, Campanula persicifolia 'Blue Bell' is a charming, upright, hardy perennial, which attracts pollinating insects. These pretty plants produce a display of slender stems adorned with outward facing, bell-shaped blooms in a rich shade of blue each summer, which can be cut for summer bouquets. Plants form an evergreen rosette of foliage at the base of the plant and are a great choice for filling gaps at the front of perennial borders. Height: 50cm (20"). Spread: 30cm (12").Grow Campanula persicifolia in any moist, fertile, well drained, non-acidic soil. Campanula will thrive in sun or semi shade, but the dainty bell-flowers will last longer in a slightly shaded position. Water regularly until Campanula plants are fully established. After flowering, cut back the plants to remove faded Campanula flowers and promote a second flush of blooms. Divide overcrowded clumps in spring or autumn to maintain vigour.Product Specifications: HardyPosition: Sun or semi shadeHeight: Up to 50cm (20in)Spread: Up to 25cm (10in) when fully establishedSupplied as Campanula persicifolia ‘Blue Bell’ (Fairy Bellflower) 15 garden ready plantsImages shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
