Grow this classic cottage garden perennial for a charming addition to perennial borders. Campanula persicifolia 'Blue Bell' produces a summer display of outward facing, bell-shaped blooms in a rich shade of blue borne on slender upright stems - excellent as a cut flower for the home. Campanulas form an evergreen rosette of foliage at the base of each plant and are a superb choice for filling gaps at the front of perennial borders, where their blue blooms will attract pollinating insects. Height: 50cm (20"). Spread: 30cm (12"). Grow Campanula persicifolia in any moist, fertile, well drained, non-acidic soil. Campanula will thrive in sun or semi shade, but the dainty bell-flowers will last longer in a slightly shaded position.
