Celery Loretta seeds are ideal for soups and salads and good source of potassium. A first rate, vigorous, upright-growing, self-blanching celery, producing deliciously flavoured, smooth, succulent, mouth-watering white sticks! Culture: should be grown on level ground approximately 23 cm apart each way. Regular watering is essential. Do not plant in trenches. Not frost hardy. (18 Weeks maturity).Sowing and growing - sow in boxes or trays in a cold frame or cold greenhouse using a good quality compost. Cover the seeds with 3 mm sieved compost. (Germination 12-18 days), transplant seedlings singly into 50 mm pots or into trays, grow on and finally plant on the flat (not in trenches), 25 cm between plants if possible, in block formation to assist blanching. Regular watering in dry weather is essential for good healthy stems.Quality control - This seed has been carefully tested to ensure high germination.
