Unlike its larger relatives, this variety produces single blooms on individual stems that rise above tufts of grass-like foliage. Plant bulbs in full sun or semi-shade, approximately 10cm (4 inches) deep and spaced 10cm (4 inches) apart. For a natural look, scatter bulbs across borders or informal grassy areas and plant them where they land.For indoor displays, plant daffodils and narcissus in containers filled with bulb fibre. Place these containers in a cool, dark location like a garage where temperatures do not exceed 10°C (50°F). Water sparingly to keep the compost moist.
