The Strawberry ‘Skyline’ is a real space spacer and can be grown in small gardens, patios and even balconies! This great variety grows up and not out, so you don’t have to worry about having lots of space for these sweet fruits. Dangling fruit is produced from every runner and there is also no need for straw to keep the ripening fruits off the soil – meaning you can get to the fruit before the slugs do! The intense sweet scent of sun warmed strawberries will surround your garden patio or balcony – perfect!Plant in the soil under trellis or pea netting or grow on the patio with our Towerpot climber system for easy access to the fruits whenever they take your fancy. Plant climbing strawberry plants in well manured, free draining soil in full sun. Alternatively try growing strawberry plants in hanging baskets, window boxes and patio containers. Provide a suitable support to train the long runners onto.Water strawberries frequently throughout the growing season and weed regularly between rows.
