Description
With the ever popular variety 'Rooster' as one of its parent lines, Potato 'Setanta' has a characteristically high dry matter - perfect for roasting, baking and chipping! This late maincrop variety triumphed over other varieties in our own taste tests. Potato 'Setanta' produces impressive yields of shallow-eyed, oval, red-skinned tubers with medium-yellow flesh. This superb potato has a reputation for being drought tolerant and free of pests and diseases, making it an ideal choice for the organic home gardener. Height and spread: 60cm (24").Weed between rows and keep potato plants well watered throughout the growing season. If the risk of frost threatens, draw some soil up around the stems to protect them, or move potato bags to a frost free position in a shed or greenhouse. Maincrop varieties can be harvested approximately 20 weeks from planting when the foliage begins to turn yellow and die back.Product Specifications:Position: Full sunHeight: Up to 60cm (23.6in) when fully establishedSpread: Up to 60cm (23.6in) when fully establishedSupplied as 4kg Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
