Potato ‘Charlotte’ is a very popular second early salad variety, often found in supermarkets but they taste so much better when homegrown and freshly harvested. ‘Charlotte’ produces pear shaped, yellow skinned, waxy tubers with creamy yellow flesh and a first-class flavour. Awarded an RHS Award of Garden Merit, ‘Charlotte’ is a customer favourite that’s delicious eaten hot or cold.Plant second early potato crops from March. Prior to planting, 'chit' the seed potatoes by setting them out in a cool, bright position (10C/ 50F) to allow them to sprout.
