Description
A very useful leaf for adding raw to salads and sandwiches or cooking slightly as an alternative to spinach. Sow from mid-spring for a long-lasting supply of Rocket, and continue into late summer for even more crop, as long as the plants are protected from frosts by cloches in winter. Sow seeds from April to July in any good fertile, well drained soil. Sow seeds thinly 6mm (0.25in) deep in drills spaced 45-60cm (18-24in) apart. When the seedlings are large enough to handle thin out to 23-30cm (9-12in) apart. Pick the young leaves as required over the whole row rather than just one or two plants as this would weaken them. As the flower buds appear pinch them out to prolong cropping. Product Specifications: Hardy Annual Position in: Sun or semi shade Height: Up to 15cm Spread: Up to 15cm Supplied as 1 Packet of 500 Seeds. Delivered with growing and care instructions. Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary results. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes (e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months).
