Description
With its sumptuous shades of pink and purple, Bearded Iris 'Rose de Perse' will set your pulse racing! The beautiful blooms have pure pink standards and pale pink falls with a rosy-purple border and delicate pink veining, with coral red beards. Iris germanica is one of the earliest flowering perennials, provide luxurious ruffled flowers in hot summer borders. Plants also boast blue-green, sword-like foliage, proving added interest and good contrast with the softer mounds of other perennials in mixed borders, long after the flowers have faded. Height: 90cm (35in). Spread:30cm (12in).A sunny position in well-drained soil is ideal for growing iris. Bearded iris rhizomes prefer an open position where the rhizomes can bake in the summer sun, without being shaded by other plants. These perennials require a very free draining soil, so amend heavy clay soils with plenty of grit and well-rotted manure prior to planting. When planting iris, ensure that the rhizome sits just at the soil surface as they are prone to rot if planted too deeply.Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only. Please note: This product cannot be delivered outside the United Kingdom.Product specifications:Position: Full SunHeight: Up to 90cm when fully establishedSpread: Up to 30cm when fully establishedSupplied as 1x Iris germanica 'Rose de Perse' 9cm potted plantFlowering period: May to JuneImages shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
