Description
Onion red herald rounded bulb with crisp and flavoursome taste. High storage potential and also an excellent resistance to bolting. Add a colourful kick to your sandwiches, salads and lunches! Sow from February to April and harvest from July to September. Product Specifications: Position in: Full Sun Height: 45cm Spread: 10cm Supplied as 200 seeds Sow this onion variety outdoors in the spring with well-drained soil and position in full sun. Sow thinly at a depth of 1cm and 30cm apart. Use well rotten garden compost to keep the soil fertile. Thin out onion seedlings to 10cm if the plant is too large to handle. Once the onions have germinated, grow the onions in a cool location until the frost has cleared to plant outside. Water onions regularly, especially in the dry and hot periods. Harvest the crop from July onwards or wait until the leaves start to turn yellow. Leave them on the soil surface for a day or two until they have fully dried in the sun. Once dry, remove the top foliage and store them in a well ventilated, dry position. Bulbs can be stored for several months.
