Description
Ideal for a bright windowsill or as a leafy display in the conservatory, Coleus are often found in the garden but these vibrant painted nettles make great house plants too. Extremely easy to grow from seed, Coleus make excellent filler plants for indoor displays and have a huge diversity of colours and patterns in their leaves. Stand outside on the patio during the summer months. Height and spread: 45cm (18").Please note: some houseplants are toxic or harmful to pets if ingested. If you believe your pet has consumed a poisonous plant then seek veterinary attention immediately. Take a sample of the plant with you.Sow Coleus seed at any time of the year at 21-24°C (70-75°F) on the surface of a good quality seed compost and gently firm down. Keep soil damp but not wet. Do not exclude light. Use a heated propagator or seal in a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 10-20 days. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into 8cm (3"), and later into 15cm (6") pots when plants are well grown. Pinch out shoot tips to encourage bushier plants.Product specifications:Position: Sun or Semi ShadeHeight: Up to 45cm when fully establishedSpread: Up to 45cm when fully establishedSupplied as 1x Coleus seed packet (approx. 150 seeds)Flowering period – July to OctoberImages shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
