Phlox ‘Purple Eye Flame; is a fabulous RHS AGM variety, prized for its long-flowering season, exceptional flower fragrance and resilience. This reliable variety is a great choice for cottage gardens, producing dense clusters of scented purple flowers, each bloom marked with a striking white centre for added detail. This mid-height phlox is ideal for planting in natural groups in mixed borders, where the blooms will not only look and smell divine, but also provide a haven for bees and butterflies. This fully hardy, clump-forming perennial produces multiple stems on each plant which makes them excellent cut-flower material. Snip a few stems at a time and enjoy the colour and fragrance in your home too!Grow phlox plants in any fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun or semi-shade. Incorporate plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost into the soil prior to planting. Feed and water regularly, particularly during dry periods, until young phlox plants are fully established.
