Grow your own pretty white poppies! This pure white colour is rarely-seen in field poppies and they will make a dramatic display in your garden. Poppy ‘Bridal White’ looks wonderful when sown in drifts in borders in the autumn or spring. Ideal for cottage gardens, wildlife gardens and cut flower gardens.Sow seeds from March to April, thinly, 3mm (1/8in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart in well-cultivated soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Water ground regularly, especially in dry periods. Seeds can also be sown outdoors in August to September for early summer flowering next year. When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 15cm (6in) apart.Feed and water poppy plants frequently throughout the summer. Annual Poppies can be left to set seed and die back naturally, before discarding the plants on the compost heap.
