Prunus lusitanica 'Angustifolia' boasts longer and narrower leaves, borne on red-purple stems for an interesting look that offers additional colour during the year. Ideal for hedging, 'Angustifolia' tolerates most soil conditions and is particularly good for chalky soils. For added interest, small white flowers open all over this evergreen shrub in summer, slowly followed by small red fruits by autumn, both of which offer food for wildlife.
