Description
Rudbeckia Hirta Amarillo Gold is a new variety that will bring bursts of colour to your garden, with its large golden flowers on short sturdy stems. This variety has been bred for early displays of colour and a compact uniform habit, making it ideal for borders or patio pots. This hardy perennial is also ideal to plant in the front of herbaceous borders as it will return year after year. Height:45cm (18”). Spread: 30cm (12”). Grow rudbeckia plants in sun or semi shade. Rudbeckia enjoys a fertile, preferably heavy soil that is rich in organic matter and well drained. Coneflowers resent drought and dislike soils that dry out in summer. Feed and water rudbeckia plants regularly. Deadhead faded rudbeckia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Cut plants down to the crown at the end of the season and cover with a dry mulch of straw or wood chippings to protect from winter extremes.
