Description
Salix gracilistyla 'Mount Aso' is a recent addition, and its origins from a cut flower breeder are evident! Delicately tactile, fluffy pink catkins adorn the upright stems of this plant in late winter, making it an ideal addition to winter bouquets and floral arrangements. As a garden shrub, Salix gracilistyla 'Mount Aso' adds abundant texture to winter borders. The pink catkins transform into golden hues as pollen is revealed in late spring, while the blue-green foliage provides an elegant backdrop for summer flowering plants. Height and spread: 150cm (59"). Supplied in 12cm grow pots. Plant Salix in a sunny or partially shaded location, in any well-drained soil.
